The Immortal Liberation Code

Post  Evangeline Orion on Mon Apr 07, 2008 12:47 am

The years haven't been kind to Everglow. Theres always a constant struggle between the city's Magistrate and the groups formed by the citizens that counter such laws. There is always a constant battle going on and there looks to be no end in sight. Recently the immortals were liberated after a long drawn out court trials. Those freed were along the lines of 'Vampires, Lycanthorpes, Fairies, Arch Demons, Succubi, Incubi, and the quetzalcoatal.' However the Humans did not take lightly to the liberation of the immortals thus forming 'Social Groups' which in turn caused chaos. However few but not all rights fall under the 'Immortal Liberation Code.'

Like a Star @ heaven Meet the H.A.V.

Humans against Vampires. A social group with people against the liberation of Vampires. They will use any excuse to throw down fights with the undead including hiring underground Vampire Hunters.

Like a Star @ heaven The V.A.V.

The Vampires against Vampires. A group formed by those turned against will. Unlike the H.A.V they do no support violence however cling to their human side as much as possible. They refuse to drink human blood; instead try to put up normal facades as much as possible.

Like a Star @ heaven The Church of Everlife

Its illegal for Master Vampires, or any Vampires for that matter to turn Mortals in to the undead. Their loophole however came in the form from "Freedom of Religion". The Church of Everlife is where Mortals go and confess eternity to the Master Vampire who runs it. He in turn bites them for his army. The Magistrate has been trying to shut them down for years.

Lycanthorpe

For centuries the Lycanthorpes have had to keep their identities secret. However once the laws were passed they could be exposed to the civil realms causing people to sit on edge. The Lycanthorpes were ordered by the Magistrate to be 'marked' and 'listed'. The marking of a Lycanthorpe consisted of provoking them in to their 'were-' state and then branding them with hot iron. Those were did not go willingly were captured by hired 'professionals' and marked. Any Lycanthorpe without a brand has been labeled highly dangerous.

All documented Lycanthorpe have been labeled according to species.

'Were- Wolves, Rats, Leopards, Panthers, Swans, Jaguars, and Tigers'

The Fairies are far from what legends told. They are not miniature people nor do they all have wings. On the contrary only the 'Master' fairies have wings and even then are tied down under clothing when among the streets of Everglow. The Fairies are human looking with extraordinary powers. Mainly elemental and some magic. All fairies are required once a year to have tests documenting their powers as its said in the Everglow Prophecy the Fairies have short tempers and highest abilities documented in history.

Arch-Demons

The Arch-Demons are like Fairies in their looks; they look and appear to be human however their eyes take on darker to brighter hues than most. They contain ties with the Dark Prince located in the last of the Layers of Hell. They control the lesser immortals such as Succubi and Incubi monitoring their work along the surface realms. The Arch-Demons now make up a quarter of the Everglow Magistrate in which corrupts more than half of the cities judicial system.

Succubi & Incubi

Working prostitutes for the devil himself. The immortal shape shifters appear more than human like with their perfect features. Succubi being proclaimed the most breath taking sight a mortal man could lay eyes on. Reverse that for Incubi and their effects on mortal women. These immortals were a different brand, in different places. The devil himself marks his workers with their own contracts burned in to their bodies. Each one needs physical contact to survive and always is required to have a 'job' or 'purpose' before their contracts are destroyed thus killing the immortal.

Quetzalcoatl

Are half-human, half-dragon creations with hot tempers and strange gifts. The powers and abilities of such a breed of immortal are unknown. Their eyes vary between bright blues and dark greens as well as their scales. The scales cover the body when such a creature is in danger or tempers have flared. Very territorial immortals and very feared amongst the Vampires.

--

Vampires

The most controversial immortal/undead to walk the streets of Everglow. However they are dignified yet;pale skinned killers none the less. With the Liberation of Immortals code the vampires were sworn in to never bite the necks of unwilling humans then again are never permitted to drain one of its blood. The hospitals provide blood bags close to expiration date to feed the vampires.

Master Vampires are staked out at different points in the city never once crossing in to another's territory for fear of the Liberation Code being withdrawn. Each one no less than over one thousand years old. All vampires must fall under one or more Master Vampire; all those who oppose are left to the mercy of the Master Vampires.

Humans

Lastly there are mortals that do exist and walk the streets of Everglow. They outnumber the Immortals or at least that is what is thought throughout the city. They make up the other half of the Magistrate in which is very fickle. Few immortals have been given licenses to be 'hunters' of the immortals. Each professional killer is hired by the Magistrate or members of the Magistrate only. Its illegal for them to just kill without the bending of Immortals Liberation Code.
